As an Oregon born rock climber and mountaineer, Caleb has been privileged to grow up surrounded by classic Pacific Northwest beauty as a guest on Tribal lands. He is passionate about the social and environmental issues affecting our region’s natural resources, Indigenous peoples, and communities. Through his storytelling, Caleb seeks to inspire audiences to feel the same sense of awe and humility that he does when out exploring and learning from these remote and well-loved places and their people.

Nadia Shaik is a transmedia storyteller, educator, and entrepreneur whose work bridges creativity, culture, and community. As the founder of Garam Masala Studios, an Oregon-based indie edutainment and publishing studio, Nadia produces original multimedia works and delivers creative services to clients like PGE and Dark Horse Comics. She’s also the visionary behind Nakia Shade, a speculative masala fiction imprint centering adult women’s narratives, and leads arts-based wellness workshops through Cool Storytellers.
